feed blog numero tres: conformity vs. individuality

reflection!

1. the images that i put up show my theme because they show a few different sides of both conformity and individuality. it shows that conformity is everywhere and it obviously gives a picture type of definition of what both my topics are.

2. my message is that conformity is the enemy. it takes away all uniqueness and individuality. conformity makes it so that everyone is a clone of everyone else. it's the same old boring thing over and over and over again. although there are some people who think the opposite, and that individuality is the enemy. but individuality is really the only thing that defines a person these days.
3. i chose the sheep image because it shows that even with a group of other things that are conformed, there can still be a sense of individuality within. i chose the image with the quote on it because i agree with it 100%. Really the only thing that divides a person from everyone else is the things that they do differently. i chose the pencil one again because i agree with the quote. you shouldn't be afraid to do what you want to do. i chose the image of the warning because its true. once you begin to become like everyone else, it becomes addicting. and after awhile, your not even your own person anymore. i chose the "the enemy is individuality" one because i think it's complete bullshit. being like everyone else doesn't help anything. not even in the homeland security sector. i chose the peeps one just because they're peeps. who doesn't love peeps? the conformity is death one has many different meanings. it means the death of certain cultures, religions, and the death of the person someone really is. all the pictures symbolize something.
4. the idea of conformity vs. individuality has been included in my life in many ways. first off, in school. some of the lessons that we learn in history are based off of this. for example, hitler and his master blonde hair, blue eye race. that's a perfect example of conformity. also within advertising in a way. everyone is supposed to look a certain way in order to fit in. if you wear all the expensive clothes and what not, your sure to get along with everyone. conformity is supposed to bring us together. we look the same, we think the same, so we're bound to have something in common, right? yeah, you know what we have in common? we're dumbasses.
5. i've developed these from what i've read, seen, experienced and been told. aka: the media, friends, enemies, parents, teachers, books, ect.
6. i feel like individuality is key. being yourself and doing your own thing is alot harder than following what everyone else is doing. thinking for yourself is a whole hell of a lot harder than following the direction of someone else. i personally think that conformity is a joke.
